A Level 2 charger runs on a 240-volt circuit, the same kind a dryer uses, and charges an electric vehicle several times faster than a standard 120-volt outlet. It is the usual choice for a home garage.
Can an EV charger be added to a new home before closing?

Does a home EV charger need its own circuit?
